Es war ein echtes Wintermärchen, das Tina im letzten Winter in den mazedonischen Bergen erlebte. Für Schönwetterskifahrer war es wohl der absolute Alptraum: Während ihres Besuchs Mavrovo schneite es unaufhörlich und der Ort lag unter einen mehr als dicken Schneedecke begraben. Die Straßen erinnerten eher an eine Bobbahn. 
Tina erlebte einen Ort, an dem die Zeit scheinbar stehen geblieben ist, eine märchenhafte Landschaft oberhalb eines großen Stausees am Ende des Weges und auf den Skipisten so viel Platz wie nirgendwo sonst. Auch wenn die Sicht stellenweise an Blindflug erinnerte, waren der Schnee ein einziger Traum. 
 
Im Winter 2012/13 soll es in Mazedonien auch mit dem guten Wetter klappen und Tina kehrt nach Mavrovo ins Hotel Bistra zurück, um dieses kleine, idyllische Bergdorf auch Sonne zu erleben und wieder über die Traumhänge zu carven, die wirklich jeden Platz bieten, den man sich im Skifahrerhimmel vorstellt! Das Skigebiet hat übrigens auch abends ein riesiges Areal unter Flutlicht. Tina war dort an einem Abend mit nur 8 Personen im gesamten Skigebiet unterwegs!

Mavrovo wird bei diesem Besuch aber in diesem Winter nicht der einzige Ort sein, den Tina im Mazeonien besucht: Dieses Mal wird sie nach ihrer Ankunft auf dem Balkan zunächst die Destination von Popova Shapka besuchen, die oberhalb der Stadt Tetovo liegt und 9 Liftanlagen hat, die zwischen 1700 und 2500 m liegen. Dieses Jahr bietet das Skigebiet, das nur 35 km vom internationalen Flughafen in Skopje entfernt liegt, erstmals auch Flutlicht. Mit Sicherheit das beste Haus im Skigebiet dürfte das Hotel Noli's Konak sein, unweit der Skipisten liegt und internationalen chic auf 1750 m Seehöhe bietet. Das Haus wurde erst vor zwei Jahren eröffnet und seitdem von Touristen aus der ganzen Welt besucht. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer und eine gute Küche sorgen dafür, dass der Urlaub im Skigebiet von Popova Shapka zu einem echten Traumurlaub wird. Weitere Infos auch unter: noliskonak.com

It was a real fairy-tale from winter, what Tina saw in the Macedonian mountains in the last winter. For sunshine-skiers it was a nightmare: During her visit to Mavrovo heavy snow comes every minute from heaven. The village was covered by a thick blanket of white powder. The streets reminded more or less on a bobseldrun.
Tina exprienced a little town, where the time stood still, a fairy-tale landscape at a huge lake at the end of every road. Although the sight was more or less compareably to a steamy bathroom, but the snow was an unique dream.


In winter 2012/13 it should work also with sun in the sky over Mavrovo and Tina will return to hotel Bistra at Mavrovo, to see this wonderful spot also at sunny conditions. She is happy to carve again on this wonderful mountain-slopes which more space than somewhere else. The resort of Mavrovo also offers his guests huge night-ski facilities. Tina was skiing there in the night last winter with 8 persons totally on the slopes.

Mavrovo won't be the only resort this year which is visited by Tina in Macedonia. This time she will also go to Popova Shapka, another ski-destination in this country which is very close to the city of Tetovo. The resort has 9 lifts between 1700-2500 m. 3 are chair-lifts. In winter 2012/13 Popova Shapka start also with skiing in the night. 
For sure the best hotel at this destination is hotel "Noli's Konak" which was opened just a few years ago. Guests from all over the world stay there for their holidays and enjoy the international style and the warm friendship of the people at Macedonia.
